Lately, I've been really into neutrals, versatility, and draping. I'm not a big fan of geometry; in fact, I even skipped a level of math to avoid taking it. But Complexgeometries pretty much sums everything I like, put into one garment.

These are all pieces available on their website. Several of their pieces can be worn in different ways, like the swacket. I'm tempted to buy a tank top for myself, not until I get my swacket and all the Christmas presents that I'm planning to buy.

the worst part about waking up.

Today is the biannual International Lolita Day, so I'm wearing my first lolita dress. It's also my favorite one. I woke up early today to go to the flea market, but I ended up not going. The worst part about waking up is that I want to go to sleep again after I wake up. The second worse thing is hearing my brother scream around the house.

When I was putting on my bolero, I freaked out, thinking I can't believe I got a hole in it already! And then I realized that it's crocheted and made of holes. Duh moment.

Instead of going to the flea market, I spent the morning looking up potential Christmas presents for friends and family. My parents are hard to shop for because if they want something, they would already have it. That's why I draw them a picture every year. My little brother, on the other hand, has too many potential presents. I think I'll get him a taco shirt.

flower power.

I'm a flower explosion today. In addition to my floral boots, floral dress, semi floral tights, and a flower pin I was wearing on my jacket, I also carry around a floral backpack to school. My shoes were actually pretty comfortable today, for new Docs.


It's the weekend! There's so much to do this week. Productivity! No slacking around. I need to earn some money this weekend. I definitely don't have enough money to buy all the gifts that I need to buy.

I wonder if I can wake up in time for the flea market.

merry christmas to me.

MY SHOES ARE HERE! My Doc Martens Victorian Flowers! They are an early Christmas gift from my dad. I told him that they can last for five years of regular use, so he's expecting me to not buy shoes for another five years now.

I had set my heart on this pair, and was heartbroken when the black ones were taken off the Docs website. I wrote an email to the company and was told that there would be more coming in sometime in February, but of course I didn't want to wait. After checking several websites, I was only able to find the brown/taupe version, preorders, or ones that weren't in my size. That's when I got a 20% off coupon code from Teen Vogue for Asos.
And behold, my most expensive pair of shoes.
I searched the website, and they had them! Choosing the size was the hard part, since I couldn't try them on. In most cases, I'm a size 7.5. In Ecko sneakers and Etnies, I'm a 6.5, and in Nikes and Forever 21 shoes, I'm more of an 8. My best bet, I thought, would be 7. The reviews about Docs running large were right. They're a little bit big on me, maybe a size or half a size too loose, but nothing an insert can't fix.

And now for the break-in process. I'll wear them for a week straight and hopefully they're adjust to me feet by then.

I was trimming my hair yesterday and made a mistake. There's a strange looking tuft of hair in the back of my head now, which you can see in the picture.

I wore those velvet pants today! I didn't know at all what to wear with them. Nothing seemed to go well. I pinned my pants up to make them look a little more like harem pants. The print is so pretty. A classmate commented that they looked expensive. So glad that they were only $2.99.

It's December already, another stressful month. More ACT testing coming up, and then finals right after that. I still need to spew out more art so I can apply to art school.
