It sure has been a while! A whole school week since I last posted. Tomorrow is my last test. I'll need an A to raise my grade, which is teetering at a 89%. I still have a lot of things to stress about, but I'm tired of stressing so I'm chillaxing until I receive an email from FIT.

Went out for more Christmas shopping and whatnot this afternoon.
Aldo purse my mom bought me for my sixteenth birthday. Except I was seventeen and a half when she bought it. I haven't used this bag in a while, and found $7 in the front pocket. Heck yeah! I used it to buy Christmas presents. And also the rest of my income. Christmas season is so draining. I legitly ran out of money on hand today, so I went to the ATM for the first time today. I thought that after inserting the card, you can just pull it back out. So I panicked when the machine swallowed up my card.

I think I'm going swacketing soon.

Last weekend, my little brother ate my Cola Chupa Chup without asking me. Luckily, I found these! I completely dorked out when I saw these. Takara Tomy Pokemon Chupa Surprise!
At over four bucks a pop, they're pretty expensive. I could get the giant Chupa Chup for that price.

because eight hours of sleep just isn't enough.

I'm sure I get much more sleep than most other people do. My resting time starts between 10-10:30, but somehow I wake up feeling groggy and sleep deprived. Still feeling that right now.

It's stress week. Stressing over ACTs tomorrow, which I really shouldn't have signed up for. Stressing over finals, which start next week. Stressing over Christmas presents that I need by Wednesday and Christmas cards, which I need by Monday. Stressing over colleges, for portfolios, for applying. For finally realizing my desire to enter the fashion field rather than the fine arts. It's not too late. But it certainly is rushed. I have two weeks to whip out fashion designs and a sewing project (did I mention how inept I am at sewing?).

Rush mode, on.

DIY: pseudo olympian god

A week ago, Coco of Muffin Top Baby, whose blog I adore, posted a DIY of one of her dream shoes, Miu Miu's pink swallows. Her creation inspired me to transform my own pair of shoes. And of course, I took on one design that I covet the most, Vivienne Westwood Anglomania x Melissa Gold Wing Rocking Horse Shoes.


This is one pair that I've admired since it was released. Now, finding a pair in my size and color is no longer an easy task.

I started off my mission at Goodwill, where i picked up a pair of black platform sandals. They were $10.50, a bit expensive for Goodwill standards. My next stop was Michael's, where I picked up a can of gold spray paint and some wing charms. There were maybe four or five different types of gold, which made it a bit difficult to choose one out.

I then taped the soles of the shoes to prevent it from turning gold. I first took masking tape to put around the edges, and then taped some paper to fill in the rest.


I took them out to spray paint, during art class. My teacher told me it was fine to spray paint without newspapers underneath because he liked the colors and designs that spray paint makes.

For my spray paint, I close Design Master in Brilliant Gold 731.
Not exactly the color I wanted, but it's still gold, so I'll accept it. This spray is so much more fast drying than the kinds that I've used in the past, before it was illegal for minors to buy spray paint. The kind that I used to have would take hours and hours to dry. This one took only a few seconds. Crazy!

Finishing touch was the little wing charm. I spray painted these too, though they were originally gold, to match the color of the shoes.
I wasn't sure how to connect these. I chose wire. I took a piece of wire for both sides, and looped it through the charm, and through the shoe belt hole.

Success! While it's not perfect, I do like them quite a bit. And I've discovered the joy of spray painting during the process.

you and what army?

Wearing an army green jacket my best friend's dad brought back from Taiwan. It's really tight, I'm not even kidding.I even considered slicing it and making it into that one Comme piece that Tavi has, The mindblowing blanket one that I took half a lifetime trying to figure out. There'd be an extra panel in the back for more room. Too bad my poor sewing skills would probably ruin it.

Besides the being too small and the sleeves being kind of short, it's a really nice spring season jacket. Winter, not so much. Still searching for a winter military jacket.

I would love the Junya Watanabe one. There was a Comme des Garcons coat featured in the recent issue of Teen Vogue (which I haven't received yet. I'm starting to wonder if my subscription ran out). I'm not sure if it's this one, but I'd love to have it, either way.

Today was kind of sunny. I was passing my a window and my hair color looked like BAM. I'm really tempted to dye my hair. Under the sun, my hair looks light brown, almost blond. The unflattering orangy tint kind. Can't dye until New Years, at the earliest, though.

Here's a flashback to the summer,after my hair dye messup. The root of it all. I used a box of ash greyish brown, and it turned...not ash greyish brown.

I didn't keep it for very long. One of the main reasons being I was going off to Taiwan and didn't want to surprise my relatives. I dyed it black, which ended up fading.

Some more of my new things. I was at a local thrift store and snagged this Saba blazer for seven bucks. The skirt is a gift from my friend/friend's dad.
I love this skirt! It's made my favorite Taiwanese brand, J Daheck. I love them for their unique style and cuts. Their website freezes on me whenever I try to surf on it, though.

I can't believe another two hours just flew by. Homework time. Or sleep time. Maybe I should catch up on sleep instead. Homework tomorrow.

Lately, I've been really into neutrals, versatility, and draping. I'm not a big fan of geometry; in fact, I even skipped a level of math to avoid taking it. But Complexgeometries pretty much sums everything I like, put into one garment.

These are all pieces available on their website. Several of their pieces can be worn in different ways, like the swacket. I'm tempted to buy a tank top for myself, not until I get my swacket and all the Christmas presents that I'm planning to buy.
