group projects are my enemy. And so is a scratched up manicure.

I'm still awake because I have to memorize lines for a skit tomorrow. I'd been planning to go to sleep at nine tonight, but that didn't happen. Still working on it.

I painted my nails (kind of) the other day to test out my colors. You can probably tell I feel more comfortable with the lighter colors. I want to buy some new colors soon, meaning I'll have to scrub it off anyway so I can use the testers in the stores.

Whenever I use nail polish, I find it scratched up the next day. I need to learn how to get them to not scratch up.

I have a friend who claims that I never wear pants. So I wore a pair of jeans today, but I forgot to point it out. I don't wear jeans every day, but I do wear them once in a while. Those "you wear pants?" comments never fail to amuse me.


Yeah, back to memorizing. Not fun.

I ate a burger today.

It's the black floral skirt I got from the thrift store last week (plus the black crochet tank I got from the thrift store)! I'm wearing it as a dress. I'm terribly clumsy and was stepping on it and tripping all day.

Today is November 15th, the release date for Josh Groban's new CD. I'd been planning since the day it was announced for release to buy it for my mother for Christmas. I had been doing pretty well with keeping her from finding out about the release until Sunday, when I said I wanted to go to Barnes and Noble. My mistake. There'd been a Josh Groban poster at the front door to advertise its release. When she told me, I freaked out and she was going all "No! My present is flying away!" I bought it for her today, but no surprise factor. Aw. My favorite part.
This is the singles CD. I don't know where the album went, but I bought that too. It was insanely difficult to find it at Borders. First, I remembered when the last CD came out in 2007 or so, there'd been a life sized poster of Josh and a CD display full of his album. I thought it would be the same this time, but man was I wrong. I ran upstairs and downstairs and up again several times. Even looking for staff was hard, because there were so few. There was a Josh section, but only his old albums were displayed. I finally found the singles in a tiny new release section, and had to ask the register for the album. That took maybe 20 minutes, 15 more minutes than I expected.

And then I ate a burger for dinner. Which is rare, since I gave up on fast food in 6th grade. I've been kind of wanting an In and Out burger since Clubs Day, when some club was selling their burgers for $4. They only cost $1.85 in the stores (and the $4 burgers were selling)!

Plus I got a package in the mail from my uncle. SHINee were in Taiwan recently, and he bought me some souvenirs! My uncle is sweet. The official SHINee Hello goods were limited, and people needed to get a ticket to line up to get the stuff, so I couldn't get that. But they were selling Lucifer goods at the door that weren't limited. He got me a towel, a lanyard, and a light stick.Light stick is beast! It glows up with "SHINee" inside.

I went to sleep yesterday at 5pm. It's 8:30 now, meaning I can't go to sleep that early today haha. I'm thirsty.

An art post. These posts are kind of rare. I did this in class the past couple weeks. It's oil paint, colored pencil, potpourri, and pastel.

I'm craving those fruit snacks from Costco. It's been ages since I've seen them, but I'm pretty sure it's this kind.
Costco has the Jelly Belly kind now, which I haven't tried yet, so I can't say if it's good or not. Jelly Belly brand gummies just don't sound as appealing to me as Brach's does.

Anyway, going to sleep. I still have an essay to write.

Here's an outfit that I'm wearing right now, minus the shoes. Everything from thrift. I bought the top, pants, and shoes on Thursday.

Alright, now to today's topic. Consignment stores. I knew they exist, but I've never been to one. I passed by one this afternoon after going to a thrift shop. It was a small thrift shop, so I didn't get anything there aside from a Barack Obama issue of Vanity Fair. Magazines were $0.50. There was a Burberry jacket for $45.

Most of the items at the consignment store were still much above my budget price (I had $22 with me today), but I couldn't help but to compare them to what would have been retail prices. I can't explain how excited I was. I've never seen so many designer labels gathered in one place before. There was a cute little white quilted Chanel bag that I almost bought. It was only $36 and I've wanted a Chanel bag since forever. But to my untrained eye, I can't tell if it's a fake or not. I can only tell fakes for Juicy Couture, which doesn't help much since their fakes are pretty obvious, for the most part. And also because I was $14 short, I didn't get it.

I wish I had taken some pictures. Lately, I've been afraid of taking pictures in shops. Ever since last week when I got busted for taking a picture in Kinokuniya. There'd also been a pair of Elie Tahari Bergdorf Goodman leather pants that I would have liked ($200 out of my price range) and a Dolce&Gabbana slip dress (also in the 200's range). I miss that dress already.

Consignment stores overall: a place where I should stay away from. As much as I love designer clothing, some of the items give the I'm-a-knockoff aura and yet I can't confirm it, and I don't have the money to spend. Unless they have Alexander Mcqueen. But for now I'll stick to thrift stores and do my splurging at Forever 21.

When I started my blog, I could take pictures at 6:30 and it would still be bright enough for the photos to be decent. Recently, I've had trouble getting good lighting when I get home from school at 4pm.


Oh right, I got a haircut yesterday. And here's today's outfit. Short hair makes my face look round. Not in this picture, but in some others. Right, so besides the haircut, I went thrift shopping yesterday. I was surprised by how much stuff I bought. Right away, I picked out two pairs of shoes. Sorry, my face is pixeled out because I was making some ridiculous face.
One of them was this pair. They're a little bit big, but I think I can add something to the bottom to make them fit better. Steve Madden wedges for ten bucks! Besides this pair, I also bought a pair of Steven by Steve Madden snakeskin peep toe heels. These were only $6.99!
They're really tall. The inside is cushioned so they're actually pretty comfortable. I haven't tried walking in them yet, so maybe it's still to early to say that. Either way, I won't be wearing them anytime soon. I did make that post about not wearing heels anymore. Which reminds me, I still want a pair of Docs. And Nikes. Oh and I liked those sequined and black glitter oxfords at Forever21. Shoes, can't get enough of them. Too bad there's not enough money to go around to get them all. I think I'll just save up for those Docs first.

My magazines arrived, by the way. I love that I don't have to worry about not having space for them anymore. I wasn't careful and asked for a copy that I already had, instead of a different one that I wanted to order, so I'm going back for that one separately.


I got a copy of Marie Claire today too. Emma is kind of sort of incredibly cute. I love her new hair! I liked it before too, but that just shows she can rock any hairstyle.


I went off on a tangent again. I'll probably post my thrift shop purchases tomorrow, due to the poor lighting.
